Opponent’s options: TEL c12 (6), SEI 9m (22)
Scoring options: TI b5, PI b5, CEDI b3
In Puzzle 16, there are three plays that block your opponent’s last Q spot: CEDI, PI, and TI. CEDI suffers as your opponent can play TEL c12, setting up an unblockable QIS next turn. TI is better than PI because the T will score about 5-6 points less than the P on this board during the trap endgame. (TAMP at c6 is crucial.)
